The RCC Satellite is a fixed facility at the Kossuth County Transfer Station designed
for the temporary storage of Household Hazardous Waste. This service allows
residents in the Kossuth Waste Management Association Service Area to drop off their
residential hazardous waste at no charge. The following is a partial list of materials
accepted. Please call the Transfer Station if you have items not listed.

These materials can be dropped off at the transfer station at NO cost to residential customers. Drop offs are by appointment only. Call first to set up an appointment time and date. We set appointments for every Wednesday morning, 8:00 a.m. to noon. Our season runs from May to September each year.
In addition to accepting residential household hazardous waste, the transfer station will accept hazardous waste from commercial customers meeting EPA requirements of a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) of hazardous waste during the 2021 season. There will be a fee for commercial customers and arrangements need to be made with the Transfer Station manager.
